Nigeria Climate Innovation Centre (NCIC)
Overview
The Nigeria Climate Innovation Centre (NCIC) was established in 2018 and tasked primarily to provide holistic, country-driven support to accelerate the development, deployment and transfer of locally relevant climate and clean energy technologies. The NCIC will provide incubation, capacity building services and financing to Nigerian entrepreneurs and new ventures that are developing innovative solutions in energy, waste, and water management and Smart-Agric businesses to address climate change challenges.
The NCIC is being designed and established by the Government of Nigeria and the World Bank Group (WBG), which provides the Centre with advisory, technical, and financial support. Business areas include green investments, venture development, market intelligence, and policy and governance.
