NICTC’s purpose is to facilitate global technology exchanges to solve pressing world problems around climate, environment, health, and food security. While many today talk about retreating into technology “camps”, we firmly believe that a more open, integrated, equitable, and protected global innovation & technology trading ecosystem will lead to greater peace and prosperity for all.
To realise this vision, NICTC brings together organisations and professionals with these goals in mind:
- Promote open cross-border technology trade, commercialization, and industrial cooperation
- Build a better global innovation marketplace and promote an International Technology Exchange
- Support technology exchange standardization, internationalization, agencies, and specialists
- Help hi-tech innovators & entrepreneurs access markets, partners and finance to “Go Global”
NICTC was launched in September 2020, during the International Technology Trade Fair and ZGC Forum in Beijing with over 100 founding institutions from 15 countries and regions, including Cambridge Enterprise, Oxentia, Georgia Institute of Technology, the German Institute of Innovation & Technology, the WTO China Chair, the Tsinghua University Office of Technology Transfer, and the Peking University Office of Technology.

Launched in 2007, the ZGC Forum has grown into a global, open, and high-level international event for enhancing global innovation in science and technology. The 3-day event, attended by top scientists and leading entrepreneurs from China and abroad, facilitates the exchange of new ideas around the latest trends and hot topics in science and technology around the globe
As one of the brand events at the ZGC Forum, the “100 Best Innovative Technologies for International Cooperation” (100 Bestech) has been organized by NICTC since 2020.
