Go Nanjing China Market Exploration” Webinar Series Successfully Concluded
On December 1, 2022, the 5-week Go Nanjing China Market Exploration webinar series came to an end. The seminar was co-organized by Nanjing Tenson International Technology Transfer Center in collaboration with the British China Business Council (CBBC), the Big Innovation Center (BIC) and other overseas partners. The seminar was divided into 5 sessions and 10 meetings, aiming to help all overseas high-tech enterprises and technical talents who are willing to explore the Chinese market to understand the business environment and investment market opportunities in Nanjing. The aim of the seminar is to help all overseas high-tech enterprises and technology talents who want to explore the Chinese market to understand the business environment and investment market opportunities in Nanjing, and to provide them with customized strategic plans to enter the Chinese market and accelerate their project landing and business development in Nanjing.
The seminar series recruited participants for a number of countries, including the UK, France, Kazakhstan, Serbia and South Africa. In order to meet the different needs of multi-country participants, special seminars were opened in English and Russian, and in-depth discussions on issues related to China market exploration were held in several sessions. The organizers not only invited a number of experts and scholars in various fields and industry experts to provide guidance on the current industrial situation, market opportunities, entrepreneurial risks, landing preparation, operational guidance and business plan development in the Chinese market, but also explained in detail the No. 1 document of Nanjing, the innovation and entrepreneurial environment, market atmosphere and advantageous policies to the attendees.
The inaugural seminar featured a talk on “China’s Evolving Innovation Ecosystem” by Mr. Mark Hedley, Director of CBBC London. In addition, Mr. Peter Tensen, CEO of Tensen International and Ms. Kristina Rayko, co-founder of GlobaltechIP, also gave an in-depth analysis of the differences between the Chinese and foreign markets, as well as the unique entrepreneurial models and development ideas in China, and shared case studies during the seminar. Detailed answers were also given to common questions about overseas companies coming to China and the development of business plans for specific opportunities in Nanjing.
This year’s seminar series has attracted a lot of attention from the overseas innovation community, and the number of participants has reached a record high compared to the previous ones. Tenson International and its overseas partners started the preparation work from August, spanning more than 3 months in summer and autumn, from online promotion to the invitation of speakers and mentors, from pre-conference mapping to post-conference follow-up, and the content of the seminar was finalized after several drafts.
Since the first seminar was held on November 2, more than 150 companies and institutions from Europe, America and CIS, including the UK, Germany, Serbia, Russia, South Africa and Brazil, have registered to participate. The organizers have also been innovative in setting the agenda, encouraging interaction and sharing of thoughts and ideas. At the end of each seminar, a free Q&A session was set up, inviting participants to speak freely and have a meeting of minds during the exchange.
The Go Nanjing program is divided into 3 phases: entrepreneurship training, two-way matchmaking, and business landing. Along with the perfect conclusion of the China Market Exploration Seminar Series, participants who performed well in the seminar were selected and evaluated to enter the second and third stages, which will start the substantive matchmaking and landing. Just last week, more than 20 outstanding participants shared their innovative projects in the form of roadshows in industries such as medical, health, software, and new energy. For example, a scientific research team from Serbia shared their newly developed chip optics technology to achieve rapid and lightweight cell analysis instruments.
