Join hands to protect the Yangtze-river for a shared future

The third batch of “Nanjing City Internationalization Zijin Friendship Ambassadors”, with the theme of “Protecting Yangtze River Together, Sharing the Future” in 2022, is guided by Nanjing City Internationalization Promotion Office, Nanjing Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Foreign Affairs Office of Nanjing Municipal People’s Government, Gulou District Government, and co-organized by Jiangsu UnionPay International. The ceremony was held on May 28th at the Nanjing International Airport. The ceremony was held on the bank of Yangtze River on May 28th. Mr. Tenson, CEO of Global Technology, attended the event and was awarded the title of “Nanjing City Internationalization Zijin Friendship Ambassador”.

In order to further deepen foreigners’ understanding of Nanjing, the Nanjing City Internationalization Promotion Office has been appointing “Nanjing City Internationalization Zijin Friendship Ambassadors” since 2020.

This year, the circle of friendship ambassadors has been expanded again. So far, Nanjing has three groups of 36 international friends from all walks of life as “Zijin Friendship Ambassadors”. Mr. Peter Tenson is one of them.

They actively participate in international cooperation and exchange activities in Nanjing in the fields of economy, trade, science and technology, and humanities, making positive contributions to promoting Nanjing’s open development environment, expanding friendly exchanges between China and abroad, and enhancing the city’s international image.

Mr. Tenson experienced the intangible cultural heritage with the theme of Dragon Boat Festival, and felt the charm of traditional Chinese culture.

Afterwards, Mr. Tenson experienced the rewards of protecting the Yangtze River with the Zijin Friendship Ambassadors, participated in the Wumadu Car Boot Culture Bazaar, and witnessed the low-carbon, environmentally friendly, fun and stylish fireworks extravaganza brought by the Nanjing International Consumer Festival.

In recent years, Nanjing has received strong support from international friends in Nanjing in the process of promoting the internationalization of the city. They are an important bridge for Nanjing to strengthen friendship and cooperation with other countries and regions.
