“Go Jiangsu” International Conference on Innovation and Development Successfully Concluded, Promoting Sino-British Collaborative Innovation Cooperation to a New Level
On the morning of September 13th, 2024, “Go Jiangsu into Jiangsu” International Innovation Development Conference and UK Co-innovation Base Project Matchmaking and Cultural Exchange Activity was successfully held in Nanjing Jiangbei New District. Organized by Nanjing Jiangbei New District Science and Technology Innovation and Big Data Management Bureau and Party Work Department, and hosted by Nanjing Jiangbei New District Central Business District Construction Management Office, Nanjing Jiangbei New District Talent Association, and China-EU Innovation Center, the conference aims to promote in-depth cooperation between China and the UK in the field of innovation, and to build a platform for exchange and docking for enterprises and institutions of both sides. Leaders attending the event included Cheng Yong, Director of the International Liaison Department of Nanjing Association for Science and Technology, Chen Ying, Deputy Director of the Party Group Work Department of Nanjing Jiangbei New Area, Li Jia, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Innovation and Big Data Management Bureau of Nanjing Jiangbei New Area, and Shang Zhenbai, Deputy Director of the Construction Management Office of the Central Business District of Nanjing Jiangbei New Area. In addition, the conference brought together more than 10 representatives of overseas science and technology projects who came from afar, as well as more than 30 local organizations and enterprise representatives from the School of Energy and Environment of Southeast University, Nanjing Energy Saving and Environmental Protection Industry Association and other guests to carry out in-depth interactions on topics such as international innovation and cooperation, technology transfer, and talent exchange.
Promoting Sino-British Collaborative Innovation for Future Development
At the beginning of the event, Mr. Shang Zhenbai, Deputy Director of the Central Business District Construction Management Office of Nanjing Jiangbei New Area, said in his speech that Nanjing Jiangbei New Area has been continuously accelerating the pace of innovation-driven development in recent years, and actively promoting international cooperation and the introduction of high-end talents. The convening of this conference further highlights the role of Jiangbei New District as a platform for international innovation cooperation. Subsequently, the awarding ceremony of offshore base cooperative units in Jiangbei New District was held. Nanjing Tengsen International Technology Transfer Center Co., Ltd. and Kangchuangyuan (Nanjing) Science and Technology Service Co., Ltd. have been awarded the title of “National Overseas Talents Offshore Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base Cooperative Units in Jiangbei New District, Nanjing” and will further build a distinctive regional offshore base in accordance with the idea of “Space The company will further build an offshore base with distinctive regional characteristics in accordance with the idea of “interconnection + industry matching + mode innovation”.
As one of the important parts of this conference, the promotion of Jiangbei New District Overseas Talent Offshore Base and cooperative units attracted much attention. Mr. Shu Huan, Vice Minister of Industry Investment Department of Central Business District of Jiangbei New Area, introduced in detail the construction progress and future plan of Jiangbei New Area Overseas Talent Offshore Base for the guests, and showed the innovation and entrepreneurship support platform provided by the base for international high-end talents.
Build an international exchange platform to promote two-way cultural interaction
Following this, Robin Peter Tensen, CEO of GlobalTechIP, a UK-based alliance of global technology innovation partners, shared the “Go Global” program with the audience. Under the wave of globalization, Chinese enterprises are accelerating their efforts to enter the international market, and “Go Global” is an important initiative to cope with this trend. Unlike traditional overseas expansion, Go Global 2.0 emphasizes not only the export of products and services, but also the globalization of branding and the deep integration of technological innovation and localized operation. Immediately following was the Overseas Project Roadshow session, where 13 overseas innovative enterprises took turns on stage, with projects covering a wide range of cutting-edge fields such as life and health, green technology and intelligent manufacturing. The project representatives demonstrated to the participants their respective innovativeness and competitiveness in the global market, as well as their technical characteristics and business models. In the subsequent exchange session, a number of local innovative enterprises had direct negotiations with overseas technology projects, and carried out warm discussions on their respective technology needs and future cooperation opportunities, and initially reached a number of cooperation intentions. It has built a practical cooperation bridge for innovative enterprises in China and the UK, and promoted the effective integration of innovation resources between the two places.
