The III “Russian-Chinese International Youth Festival” was held in the Tver Region
On September 30, the opening ceremony of the “Russia-China International Youth Festival” was held in the Tver region of Russia. The opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Chinese Embassy in Russia Liu Xuesong, Chairman of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry Pradonov, President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China, Vice President of the Friendship Association “China-Russia” Zhou Litsun, Deputy Head of the Department of Youth Policy of the Tver region Berevina, Deputy Chairman of the Russian-Chinese Friendship Association Sanakoev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the group of companies “Kaiser Rong” Hu Zhirong, Chairman of the Association of Leaders of the International Youth Festival “China-Russia”, Chairman of the Russian-Chinese Friendship Association Sanakoev, Chairman of the Russian-Chinese Friendship Association Sanakoev. More than 200 young people from China and Russia came together and talked about friendship.
Minister Liu Xuesong said in his speech that youth exchanges are an important component of “spiritual communication” between China and Russia and a “vivid landscape” of humanistic cooperation between the two countries. Under the China-Russia Year of Friendship and Youth Exchange in 2014 and 2015, the two countries successfully organized exchanges in various fields of art, science, education and youth, and friendly youth exchanges were actively carried out. At present, the youth of the two countries in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), BRICS and other multilateral cooperation and exchange structures also continue to carry out, and become a pillar to promote the development of economic and trade cooperation between China and Russia. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative, and in these 10 years, China and Russia have led the world in the right direction of multipolarity and economic globalization through their practical actions of common cause, common construction and common use. It is hoped that Chinese and Russian young people will seize the opportunities of the times, develop new areas of mutually beneficial cooperation and further deepen cooperation in engineering, digital economy, transportation and logistics, artificial intelligence and scientific and technological innovation to bring new brightness and vitality to the trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
President Pradonov began his speech by reviewing the development of youth cooperation between China and Russia. He noted that youth exchanges help the younger generations of the two countries to establish business and friendly relations, and the long-term and stable strategic partnership between China and Russia has laid the foundation for strong youth cooperation between the two countries. The Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry has been organizing the “Russia-China International Youth Festival” for three consecutive years, thanks to which mutual understanding between Russian and Chinese youth and the peoples of the two countries has become deeper, richer and stronger.
Chairman Zhou Liqun noted that as an important platform for Sino-Russian cooperation and exchanges in the fields of economy, trade, culture and humanities, the RCSC has always supported and actively organized practical exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and Russian youth, and contributed to the development of Sino-Russian economy and trade. In recent years, more and more people have devoted themselves to promoting mutual understanding and mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Russia, playing an active role in strengthening the traditional friendship between the two peoples. Holding the China-Russia Youth Festival is in line with the spirit of the times and reflects the trend of continuous development of China-Russia relations and deepening of practical cooperation between the two countries. He said that Sino-Russian relations should be inherited and developed by young people from generation to generation, and young people of the two countries should live up to their mission and push Sino-Russian relations to a higher level in the new era.
In their speeches, Vice Minister Berevina, President Hu Zhirong, Vice President Sanakoev, President Shelly Welstova, Manager Hvorosganyi and Khorkina urged the youth of Russia and China to cherish their time and friendship and contribute to the development of friendship between Russia and China.
Ding Yicheng, an attaché of the Trade and Economic Department of the Chinese Embassy in Russia, and Kurbanova, an employee of the Chinese Language Testing Center, exchanged speeches as representatives of Chinese and Russian outstanding youth. They said that they would live up to the trust of the times, remember the warm words of the two heads of state to the youth, adhere to the principle of “building together and winning together”, bravely stand on top of the waves, unite and cooperate with each other through practical actions to push China-Russia practical cooperation to a new level and contribute to the peace and development of mankind.
The Russia-China International Youth Festival was organized by the Committee for Chinese Cooperation of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the support of the Chinese Embassy in Russia, the Russian-Chinese Friendship Society and the Russian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce. The festival lasted from September 29 to October 1. During the event, Chinese and Russian youth celebrated the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
