Digital Healthcare Overseas Project Roadshow “Nanjing Haiji Online” 2023 “Go Jianye into Jianye” Successfully Held
On September 12, the “Nanjing Haiji Online “2023” Go”, jointly organized by the Nanjing Science and Technology Association, the Nanjing Jianye District Science and Technology Association, the Nanjing Science and Technology Popularization Service Center, the Management Committee of the Nanjing Jianye Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone, and the Nanjing Jianye Haiji Base, was successfully held at the Jianye Fund Block. The “Jianye Goes to Jianye” Digital Medical Overseas Project Roadshow was successfully held in the Jianye JinYuZui Fund Block.
Under the theme of “Digital Jianye, Healthy Future”, this event combines project roadshows and docking exchanges, focusing on cutting-edge areas of digital healthcare, and invites Chinese and British industry elites to come together to share and discuss new opportunities and paths for cross-border cooperation in digital healthcare.
Mr. Nathan McNally, Founder of P4 Precision Medicine Accelerator, University College London and Director of Life and Health, Capital Enterprise, UK, Ms. Laura Anne Towart, Founder and CEO of Vivan Therapeutics, UK, Mr. Dabriel Choi, Co-Founder of EveryBaby Medical Devices and Ms. Hyun-Sun Kong, Project Manager, UK, as well as other overseas guests from Hanwei Institute of Public Health, SMC, Dui Hua Medical and Industrial Cross Research Institute, Ruigai Medical and Industrial Cross Research Institute, SMC and other companies. Mr. Dabriel Choi, Co-Founder of EveryBaby Medical Devices and Ms. Hyun-Sun Kong, Project Manager, and many other overseas guests, as well as more than 10 representatives from local technology companies, research institutes and VCs, such as Hanwei Public Health Research Institute of NUIST, Jixi Institute of Medical-Industrial Crossover Research, RuiGui Medical, and Hepu Medical, etc., were present in the offline. Cheng Yong, Director of the International Liaison Department of the Nanjing Association of Science and Technology, Qian Haijun, Vice Chairman of the Jianye District Association of Science and Technology, and Zhang Gang, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Talent Department of the Administrative Committee of the Jianye Hi-Tech Zone, took part in the event, and engaged in a lively exchange with representatives of the industry from both China and abroad.
Cheng Yong said in the opening speech, Nanjing Hai Zhi Online is the province, the city, the district Association for Science and Technology for the Hai Zhi base parks and enterprises, overseas talent services, a feature of the work, in recent years, Nanjing to unprecedented efforts to promote scientific and technological innovation, this year, it is put forward to build a global impact of industrial science and technology innovation center of the relevant objectives, and sincerely welcome the aspiring people at home and abroad to come to Nanjing to develop.
Mr. Zhang Gang made a wonderful presentation on the innovation ecosystem of Jianye Hi-Tech Zone. According to the introduction, as the main gathering place of Nanjing’s headquarters economy, Jianye Hi-tech Zone has gathered 50 headquarters enterprises and more than 60 legal entities at all levels of central enterprises; meanwhile, as the core gathering area of Nanjing’s important financial center, the park’s added value of the financial industry will reach 36.7 billion yuan in 2022, the first in the city in terms of scale. With new carriers, sound policies and high-quality support, Jianye Hi-tech Zone also hopes to attract more high-quality overseas enterprises and talents to practice innovation and build their careers in Jianye.
In the project roadshow, four projects, namely, EveryBaby (UK preterm diagnostic equipment and medical devices project), Vivian Therapeutics (personalized cancer treatment plan and precise drug combination and matching project), Carcinotech (UK cancer detection and tumor 3D printing technology project), and BeAWire (Russia/CIS medical equipment and in vitro diagnostic products and registration service project), presented their technical solutions, development paths, Chinese market strategies, potential cooperation needs, etc., which aroused the interests of the Chinese delegates. Carcinotech (UK cancer detection and tumor 3D printing technology project), BeAWire (Russia/CIS medical device and in-vitro diagnostic products and registration service project) four projects in turn conducted on-site roadshow, respectively, on the project’s technical solutions, development path, China market strategy, potential cooperation needs to carry out a detailed exposition, aroused the Chinese side of the delegates of the meeting of great interest. The two sides pushed the communication atmosphere to climax after climax through on-site Q&A and free docking sessions.
The roadshow achieved good results, with four medical projects making a brilliant debut, docking with enterprises and investment institutions in Ningxia, stimulating many innovative ideas for win-win cooperation between China and foreign countries, and positively promoting the high-quality development of the digital health industry in Jianye Hi-Tech Zone. The city and district science and technology associations will continue to strengthen close communication and cooperation with the city’s overseas intellectual bases and science and technology parks, organize more international exchanges and talent-attracting activities, focus on building a Chinese and foreign exchange platform with full communication and precise docking, and actively introduce more world-leading scientific and technological innovation projects and talents, so as to contribute to the construction of Nanjing as a globally influential industrial science and technology innovation center!
