On Nov 26, the 14th Nanjing International Exchange and Cooperation Conference for Chinese Students Studying Abroad, sponsored by the Nanjing Municipal government, opened. With the theme of “Better Gather global Wisdom, Build Talent Highland Together”, the conference was held for the first time mainly online and simultaneously online and offline. Among them, the overseas students project covers more than 230 project requirements, for the incubator platform, investment and financing institutions and other negotiations; The recruitment demand includes nearly 400 high-level talent positions provided by more than 40 research institutes and high-tech enterprises, covering key industries such as medical and health care, artificial intelligence, rail transit, high-end equipment manufacturing and biomedicine. “Jinling Jinling” recruitment by 50 industry leaders to provide 300,000 to 2 million yuan annual salary of high salary positions, to carry out online job connection.
The offline activities of the conference were equally exciting. For example, enterprises and public institutions in Nanjing carry out innovative research and development centering on the development of leading industries and breakthroughs in key core technologies, and provide up to 100,000 yuan of financial support after recognition, so that talents can enjoy convenience in settling down, housing, medical care, social security, children’s education and other aspects. At the same time, they actively do a good job in the docking, selection, recommendation and application of various provincial funding programs for overseas talents.
At the opening ceremony, The Catalog of Talents in Shortage of Nanjing Innovative Industry System in 2022 was released, and 305 positions for talents in shortage were selected. And focus on software and information services, smart power grid, integrated circuits, biomedics, intelligent manufacturing, new energy vehicles and other “2+2+2+X” innovative industrial system in Nanjing’s main industry categories, talent status, talent demand and talent environment in-depth analysis.
Data show that the overall talent inflow in Nanjing is relatively net, among which the inflow of talents aged 25-35 accounts for more than 70%, which plays a role in improving the age structure of talents. From the perspective of the innovation-oriented industrial system, most of the talents introduced by enterprises focus on production and technological research and development. The talents are young, energetic and highly educated, providing more fresh ideas and possibilities for industrial development.
Talent in innovative industries is in short supply. Last year, the talent shortage index (TSI) of all industries in Nanjing innovative industry system was above 1, indicating that the talent was in short supply. Among them, the integrated circuit industry has the highest TSI index and the largest talent demand; The TSI index of integrated circuit, smart grid and new energy automobile industry all increased compared with last year.
Although the development of some industries has been slowed down due to the epidemic and other factors, a large number of digital economy business forms and modes are rising rapidly. For example, software information, chip design and intelligent manufacturing are becoming more and more concerned fields in China’s high-tech industry, and there is a great demand for middle and high-end technical talents.
