HSE Business Incubator exports gas pedals to the Chinese market
On June 15, HSE Business Incubator in cooperation with MONOC – Moscow Region Nanjing Supervisory Center held a demo day of export gas pedal for the Chinese market, where four startups presented their projects to Russian, Western and Chinese investors, representatives of big business and Chinese authorities. The demo day was also supported by the Chinese Embassy in Russia.
During the demo day, the startups presented their programs and their current attractiveness in the Chinese market. Project leader Yulia Peremitina said of the HSE Business Incubator’s acceleration program: “We worked on the project for 16 weeks. During this time, the clear progress of the teams and their desire to enter the Chinese market was evident. This program is unique to the Russian market! Its main value lies in working with each startup in a unique way: solving their problem areas. We have created the lecture part of the gas pedal so that all lectures are adapted to the startup industry. Ongoing work and meetings of trackers and experts with the team are held twice a week. In addition, startups help each other through group planning where they share their business problems and push each other to solve them. Students from the National Research University’s School of Economics and Kyung Hee University’s “Asian Economics and Politics” dual degree program “Oriental Studies” also participate as a subject team. All gas pedal teams conducted several rounds of negotiations with partners and clients and signed agreements for further cooperation. As part of the gas pedal, the startups also had three exchanges with representatives of Chinese institutions.”
Robin Peter Tensen, Director of MONOC, a strategic partner of HSE China Accelerator, gave an online speech introducing the GO China 3-stage program, tailored for overseas startups interested in entering the Chinese market. The entire program is designed to help foreign companies understand the local market and engage with the local industry and the entire ecosystem.
