National Agricultural High-Tech Trade Fair opens in Nanjing

The 2022 National Agricultural High-Tech Trade Fair opened in Nanjing City on August 25.

Scholars and industry experts gathered to explore new mechanisms and models for the transfer and application of agricultural sci-tech achievements and promote innovation in R&D and commercial operation.

The fair also inaugurated the Jinyi Trading Service Cloud Platform developed under the guidance of the Department of Science and Technology Education of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA). The platform was jointly created by the MARA Science and Technology Development Centre, the National Rural Industry Integration and Development Alliance, and the Nanjing National Modern Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation Centre.

Taking the market-oriented approach, the platform will give full play to three key players – scientists, entrepreneurs and investors – to create a community of shared values, common interests and commitment to innovation in order to promote the transfer and application of agricultural sci-tech achievements.

The fair also released a guideline on agricultural sci-tech investment in 2022. It identified 14 hot fields, introduced 60 evaluation criteria in 15 major categories, and also suggested investment priorities and directions.

In addition, nearly 100 scientists, entrepreneurs and investors have been invited to attend the event, which also showcased more than 700 promising projects. It’s expected that more than 600 deals worth 12 billion yuan will be reached during the fair.。
